Day 2, Semester 2
One of the greatest sounds in the world is a teenager's spontaneous laugh. Savannah has a great laugh. There were times last semester that I would just stop class and watch her laugh. Her joy is infectious. The kids were laughing some today. It's just good to look at a smiling teenager's face. Lots of times 14 and 15 year olds go for a "fixed" expression. I think there are some girls who wake up on their 14th birthday and their eyes are temporarily rolled back for a couple of years. :) The rolled back eyes and intentional sighs and flipping of the hair is classic behavior for girls this age. But I'm convinced that beneath the layers of makeup some of these girls are starting to cake on, they'd rather be smiling.

Miss Lucas, I love you so much! This really means alot to me!Sometimes I feel like people don't notice that i'm not like everyone else. I don't want to be like anyone else! You have helped me in so many ways that you couldn't even understand. This blog could be about yourself! Unlike any other teacher you go out of your way to really help people comprehend not only their work but their life! You don't come to school everyday with a dreaded, I didn't get enough sleep last night, teacher face. Your joy is infectious! It is people like you that change the world. Anyone that knows you sees God and knows that your living him out! You have helped me become a better person and an even stronger christian!I have not met anyone like you in my entire life, and im not just talking about teachers!Thank you for everything you have done. Much love:) Savannah
ReplyDeleteI'm so blessed to know you. Selfishly, I'm glad you are a freshman so I get to be in your life on a daily basis for the next few years. My life is not in vain because you see Jesus in me.
ReplyDeleteI would even agree with this Mrs. Lucas. It's hard getting to know some real girls out there. Honestly I've only ever met a few girls like this, and thats the fun of a relationship. Finding the right one, and I may be to young to find the right one, but at least im getting a start at it.
